Can you include .3MF to the list of re-compressible formats? Its structure is similar to MS Office 2007 documents and Open Document Format. It is a ZIP Deflate archive with XML data and some JPG, and/or PNG pictures inside. Otherwise, if I try to compress .3MF it bearly makes it smaller unless I recompress .3MF to the Store setting then it makes it a lot smaller.
Wish they all would move to 7zip ZSTD in the first place so that the optimized file size with FileOptimizer would be 50% of the ZIP Deflate version. And there would be no extra compression needed :)

    Optimize archive on Context Menu
    W

I noticed that the option to add the optimize archive function to the context menu is missing on Windows 10.
Opening each archive with the interface in order to click it becomes tedious with many files.

Same for others functions like Remove Archive Encryption

i downloaded a rar file and got it corrupted. I downloaded it again, and got it corrupted again. I’m convinced that the original file is not corrupted.
So I have two corrupt archives in my computer. Isn’t there a tool to create a repaired archive using the two corrupt ones? I mean, if my two archives are corrupted in different ways, can I somehow merge the two corrupted archives to create a repaired one? Is there any tool that does this?

If you open PowerArchiver, you will notice their is a button called Repair Archive you then click that and select the file which is corrupt.

          See if that works.

That is only for ZIP archives - PA cannot repair RAR archives, you need WinRar (or RAR command line) for that!

I have tried the repair buttons from both PA and WinRAR, but they haven’t worked.

My question is whether there is some way to merge two corrupted versions of the same archive to create a repaired one.

The only way to repair “corrupted” files, is to have some extra “correction information”. This may be included in the archive when the RAR was created in which case RAR repair would be used. If not, then you would need other information e.g. PAR2 as suggested by Guido.

With neither, all you can do is download again (and again) until you get a good file.

Maybe you could try a download manager an re-download the file.
