End of Powerarchiver
-
Powerarchiver is dead no updates to fix bugs no new features, no communication and errors in program update system with scripting errors. Duplicate context menus windows 11 no fixes no updates
I declare that this is the last version.

There is an maintenance update coming this week :).

would be good to have some official statement regarding this, though. It would be sad as PowerArchiver is my fave tool for packing/unpacking, having a license since 2010 myself.
Especially since a statement from last year confirmed that the product is not dead and an update will be released, soon: https://forums.powerarchiver.com/topic/6661/news-update-on-powerarchiver-connexion-in-2024

I’ve moved on as well. Yeah, Powerarchiver is a dead project. Move on everyone. Luckily there’s a number of good free and open source projects that can replace a good portion of the abilities of PowerArchiver.

@spwolf This week seems to have taken a long time?
-
@wilsonp update has been posted on download page and forums for a while now.
Thanks!

If it is dead . . .
that is sad.
But IF it is, I need to transition to another program that has at least some of the features . . . . including backup scripts.
Any ideas from the community?
And is there any program that might read these files . . . . or a script that would like to convert any .pa archives to 7zip or winrar?

I am, in November 2025, being asked to pay a modest $15 fee for “continued support and updates”. I have no idea whether this is bona fide, a scam or whatever.
If it is indeed a genuine offer/service from Conexware/PA, I think that it should be offered in the context of a detailed an comprehensive statement, published here in full, as to what exactly is happening with PA, its future and answers to all the obvious questions about it. I have supported it almost from Day One, and it isn’t very acceptable to see it disappearing away in a cloud of Radio Silence.Peter
