I can’t get the plugin for Outlook to compress any files in Outlook now, since updating to the latest beta. Anyone have any idea why this is happening or how to fix it?

I didn’t realize that was a Release Candidate. Sorry for the mix-up. But the Outlook plugin doesn’t work with the RC.

confirmed in vista 32 bit…
the plugin shows in the tools/options of outlook but doesn’t show any options after I add attachments to email.

Anything specific about configuration? Did it stop working with .48 while it worked before?

The plug-in wrks for me with RC1. I have Outlook 2007 and Windows Vista

No, it never worked with .48 for me.

Ok, we might have a clue here to what is going on. After I installed the Outlook plugin, I installed the Snagit that installs a plugin in Outlook (OfficeAddin.dll). Aand after that I installed Windows Search for Outlook (mssphtb.dll). Does this help at all?

try disabling each one of them and see what happens.

I got it working again, I uninstalled it an re-installed it and now it is working. Disabling the other plugins didn’t help. I think what happened is one of the registry entries for the plugin either got deleted or messed up. I have been beta testing a registry cleaner and that might have caused the problem. Might be a good idea to adjust the permissions for the registry entries so no cleaner can delete them.

did you try reinstall or checking disabled list in Outlook plugin list?

Make sure you do an uninstall of the plugin first. I did a re-install over it the first time and it didn’t fixed the problem. It doesn’t seem to repair the registry entries if you install OVER it.

I doubt it’s a plugin causing it as none of mine were the problem. I think the plugin needs to be update.
