Vista 64 and right-click drag
-
I’m running Vista 64 on my desktop, and right-click dragging does not work. After dropping all I get is the default Windows context menu for extracting using its built in support. A normal right-click without dragging does bring up the PA context menu however. On my Vista 32 bit laptop, right-click dragging does work fine. Something with the drop handler and 64 bit maybe?

64bit shell extension is completly different dll… check with 10.01 release and see if that helps.
thanks,

FYI version 10.00.39 has the same issue. Patiently awaiting version 10.01. :)

you guys can be creative with the download link while we wait for the website to be updated…

Still no change. Uninstalled old version, rebooted, downloaded and installed new version (says 10.00.42), and rebooted. Still just get generic Windows menu when dragging archives.

Can you please try this:
Go to PowerArchiver’s installation folder (c:\program files\PowerArchiver) and run _PASETUP.EXE.
If it still doesn’t work I will make .reg file for you that will fix the problem - i think the problem is only with registry, but I am not sure why this happneds after installation when all registry entries are correct.

No change. I only have the option previously mentioned.

You must restart computer because the DLL must be replaced. Maybe also try with clean install?

I restarted the computer after the installation, but I did not do a clean install. I will and report the results.
